Circovirus

Circovirus .... A virus that attacks the immune system, and is probably spread through the droppings. Symptoms vary, and can include lose of appetite & weight, diarrhoea, lethargy, and respiratory issues.

Secondary infections due to the weaken immune system can create havoc within the young bird team. Suspect Circovirus if your young birds seem to catch a number of illnesses within a short period of time. Treatment of secondary infections will be required quickly. Support the immune system and target your treatment of these secondary infections. Refer to current up to date health care books such as Pigeons and Their Economical Health Care, and Vets' Tips for Fanciers, by Dr. Zsolt Talaber.
